Pale Is The New Tan

After a hiatus, I thought it was time for an update. What has transpired since my last post: I caught and got over tracheal bronchitis, completed a few projects for work, and celebrated my birthday!
Contrary to my blog name, I actually really like dressing in simple, monochromatic outfits. Here, I’m wearing two pieces in my closet that I haven’t worn too many times: a Zara faux leather sleeveless top and a T by Alexander Wang mesh skirt that I got on sale from Shopbop last year. I really liked the contrast between the textures of the two pieces, and quickly thought it was a perfect match. As for accessories, what (faux) leather and mesh outfit would be complete without a few cool statement pieces? This Lauren Elan necklace is still one of my favorite statement necklaces and I wear my B. D’Angelo lucite bangle every time I sense an opportunity to wear a pop of neon. (I wear my rose gold pyramid ring on a daily basis.) ;) Oh, I’m also making good use of my “stripper” heels. :)
P.S. Post title came from this tee by Local Celebrity that I recently ordered online. :P
