Cold Hawaii

┬áRainy “cold” days in Hawaii usually make me crave anything hot for lunch. You’d think I’d crave ramen or saimin, but what came to mind? CURRY! My usual at Curry House: beef curry with corn cream croquette & a side green salad. The tough part about eating comforting foods: wanting to take a nap after lunch. I was so sleepy, it wasn’t funny. Concentrating for the rest of my workday seemed like an uphill battle. Thankfully, I have entertaining coworkers, who usually mitigate that problem.

Since temperatures have been in the 60’s, I’ve been pretty happy to wear jackets and blazers without breaking a sweat. It’s nice to know that I won’t melt, stepping outside of my already cold office. Though I would love to be in even colder weather, I know I probably wouldn’t appreciate it every day for too long. My uncle in Colorado sent me a picture of his car thermometer reading SIX DEGREES. I can’t say for certain, but I do not think I would be able to function in that kind of weather… Here, in Hawaii, my only complaint about this recent gloominess is that people forget how to drive in the rain, resulting in traffic becoming exponentially worse. Confession: I have road rage issues… Listening to Enya & John Mayer helps to calm me down.

Hope you all are staying warm and avoiding any sickness, wherever you are. :)
